Smisby Day Nursery has announced the return of Smizkids Holiday Clubs with restrictions due to ease next week.

The nursery has been disrupted by the pandemic and associated lockdowns.

But now it says it is able to run its first proper holiday club for Half Term week from Tuesday 1st June to Friday 4th June.

The Nursery's Facebook page gives more details and says: "Just after our half term club in February last year we had to close Smizkids completely until after the summer holidays.

"We re-opened to our schools that we offered a service to in September and, with the exception of school closures since, have been able to run a Before and After School Service without interruption or incident for eight months.

"We had looked at options to run a holiday club at various stages since we re-opened, but felt that it was not safe to do so with the evidence we had available to us at that time.

"Our overriding principle was keeping the children and staff safe.

"After the announcement this week that things are further easing next week, we are delighted to say that Smizkids will run its first proper holiday club for Half Term week from Tuesday 1st June to Friday 4th June.

"We can only run two bubbles of 15 children, to maintain a safe environment, so spaces are limited and we will be spending lots of time outdoors - weather permitting.

"If you want to receive a booklet and wish to use the club please send an email to [email protected].

"We are afraid that all spaces are on a first come, first served basis.

"We are so excited to see the children back in the Holiday Clubs and cannot wait for the club to begin!"
