An Ashby-based rock musician has chance to play at this year's Download Festival at Donington Park.

Lewis Hutchings is the bass player with his band, Bad Llama, whose members are all from the East Midlands.

Bad Llama have been shortlisted by Kerrang! Radio for a possible slot at Download.

But they are looking for local support in the station's competition where you get the chance to vote for your choice.

Lewis said: "We need your support to help make a local band's dream come true.

"The competition runs from February 1- 7, and voting only takes a minute via Kerrang's website.

"We hope you can help share this and be a part of Bad Llama's chance at something which would be life changing."

The radio station says the prize is: 'A record deal with Marshall Records, airplay and support from Kerrang! Radio, plus the opening slot on The Avalanche Stage at Download Festival 2023'.
