Symphony Learning Trust has been selected to run the new primary school being built on the Holywell Spring Farm development in Ashby-De-La-Zouch.
The school will be opening in the Autumn Term 2021 and its name will be Ashby Hastings Primary School, named after the Hastings family who built Ashby Castle in the 15th century.
Ashby Hastings will be a one-form entry school and will be an integral part of the local community as it grows and develops.
This is how we reported news of the school being built when details were revealed last year Ashby's new eco-friendly and hi-tech school
Ashby Hastings will be the eighth Leicestershire school to join the Leicester-based Symphony Learning Trust and aims to have high achieving outcomes to replicate the other seven schools.
Ashby Hastings joins Glen Hills Primary School (Glen Parva), Newcroft Academy (Shepshed), Old Mill Primary School (Broughton Astley), Meadow Community Primary School (Wigston), Thornton Primary School (Thornton), Fairfield Community Primary School (South Wigston) and Ashby Willesley School (Ashby) in the Symphony Learning Trust.
CEO Tim Sutcliffe; "At Symphony, we are thrilled and very proud to be provided with this exciting opportunity to establish a new primary school in Ashby-De-La-Zouch. We are looking forward to working collaboratively with local partners and Leicestershire County Council to provide the very best education for our new Ashby Hastings pupils."
Events for new parents, pupils and the community will be organised between now and the summer with all details on the Ashby Hastings website HERE.
