A temporary introduction of two hours free parking in a car park in Ashby has been announced.

This news has been shared by Cllr Kenny Horn of Ashby Town Council and North West Leicestershire District Council.

According to Cllr Horn, a comprehensive review of all Ashby car park charges will be carried out late this year.

In the mean time, the car park tariff at the new Money Hill car park will be changed, offering free parking for two hours.

'This is a welcome step,' said Cllr Horn, 'and ensures Ashby shoppers enjoy the same free parking benefit as other towns in the district.'

Compared to the current car parks in Ashby, the Money Hill carpark IS NOT central to Ashby town centre. Expect more on street parking in residential areas adjacent to the town.
