Comedian Tony Hawks will be appearing at the Venture Theatre in Ashby next month.

Tony is best known as BBC panelist, a novelist and musician.

He has also appeared on Have I Got News For You and many Radio Four comedy shows.

Tony has written several bestsellers including Round Ireland With A Fridge. His first book was an account of his attempt to hitchhike around Ireland with a fridge to win a bar bet. It sold over 800,000 copies.

But it was with a novelty record that he had his first brush with fame. As leader of the trio Morris Minor and the Majors, he reached No. 4 in the charts with the Beastie Boys parody, Stutter Rap (No Sleep 'Til Bedtime).

Tony will be coming to Ashby on November 1, at 7.30pm. for a show which will be in two halves.

First will be a musical one-man show entitled Making Life Wonderful, about the life of American psychologist Marshall Rosenberg.

That is followed by a looser, more informal session of humour and general silliness.

The show is in aid of Burton Road Primary School Parent Teacher Association.

Tickets are £15 and can be bought HERE.
