Town centre supermarket plays host to Cardboard Ashby display until Sunday

By Graham Hill 17th Aug 2021

Cardboard Ashby will be on display in the Derby Road Co-op until Sunday.

The display of buildings is from Ashby Arts Festival's recent Cardboard Ashby workshop.

The Arts Festival's Facebook page says: "We are delighted that the Co-op store in Ashby has agreed to display the amazing creations from our recent Cardboard Ashby workshop.

"Pop in to see the castles, shops, swimming pools, gyms, town hall etc."

Using recycled cardboard, Ashby's shops, houses and buildings both real or imaginary have been created.

They were made by local children, aged 7-11, at a recent workshop with Leicestershire artist Tim Neath.
