Max Tyler – one of the UK music industry's most exciting young talents – is set to DJ poolside at Ashby Leisure Centre and Lido later this month.

The 21-year-old DJ and producer will play two sets lasting nearly two hours each at the centre, managed by leading operator Everyone Active in partnership with North West Leicestershire District Council.

The sets - on Saturday, July 20 - are due to take place by the outdoor pool so the local community can enjoy sun, sand, swimming and songs all at the same time.

Max will play two sets from 2pm-3.45pm and 4pm-5.45pm, with attendance at each session costing £10 per person.

Organisers say that tickets are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. Bookings can be made by visiting the centre in person or by phoning 01530 412181.

In the event of bad weather on the day, the event will take place in the indoor pool.

Tyler rose to prominence during the 2020 lockdowns with his live Instagram DJ sets on Friday nights.

His first track, 'You Only Want Me', was released in July 2020 and reached No2 in the iTunes Charts and No3 in the Dance Charts.

Tyler has enjoyed a residency at The View from The Shard in London and two of his tracks reached the top 10 of the Dance Charts in 2022.

Duncan Gibb, Everyone Active's contract manager, said: "We are really looking forward to welcoming Max to Ashby for this fun family event.

"It will be great to see people of all ages enjoying the fantastic aquatic facilities we have here, with Max's sets sure to raise excitement levels. It will be an experience for everyone to remember and we encourage people to book now while tickets are still available."
