The developers of the new Money Hill estate in Ashby will be holding public consultation events this month.

Ashby residents are being invited to the sessions - one in person, the other online - by Bloor Homes Midlands and Taylor Wimpey.

People will be able to find out more about the scheme as well as 'meeting the team' and 'having your say' on what is being described as 'emerging ideas, principles and masterplan' for Money Hill.

But it has been pointed out that these consultations will focus on phase two of the development, which will see another 1,200 homes built.

Phase one was given reserved matters planning permission two years ago, and work is now underway ahead of the next stage.

There will be a public exhibition on Thursday, July 18, from 2.30pm-7.30pm at Legion House in South Street.

That is followed by a public webinar which will take place on Wednesday, July 24, between 6pm-7pm.

If you have been informed by post of the session, there is a QR code to allow you to register for the online event.

A notice from Bloor and Taylor Wimpey says: "Our vision is to create a vibrant and welcoming community, which has placemaking and sustainability at its heart. Our aim is to provide:

• Up to 1,200 new homes, including affordable homes

• New employment space

• Green public open space and landscaping

• Connectivity to existing bus routes, active travel routes and improvements to the existing public right of way.

"We are in the very early stages of developing a masterplan and are keen to hear your thoughts, ideas and suggestions to ensure that the very best scheme is brought forward."
