From 15th to 17th August, Moria Furnace will hold a folk festival with a packed performance schedule of live music, Morris dancing, a ceilidh, workshops and more.

The folk festival will also extend to local pubs, with singarounds and live music at The Railway Inn and The Rawdon Arms.

This year the line up of live music is packed with local performers and folk groups, including Andy Popplestone, Chris Fox, Green Man Rising, Alan Wood and Elbow Jane.

New for 2025, the main festival marquee will be named 'The Neil Dawson Marquee,' instead of the 'Folk Club Marquee' to honour the contribution of Neil to the festival's success.

On Saturday 16th August, there will be a Ceilidh in Moira Miners Welfare Club, open to both festival-goers and locals. This is free for festival ticketholders to attend or will cost £8 per person, which can be bought in advance or on the day.
