Three men have now been charged after botched attempt to steal cash machine from Moira Co-op
Three men have been charged after the attempted theft of a cash machine in Moira during an early hours raid.
Officers were called to the incident on Thursday (July 7) at the Co-op in Shortheath Road.
A 27, 32 and 33-year-old man have been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.
They are:
- John Price, 27, of Boathorse Road, Goldenhill, Stoke-on-Trent
- Luke Price, 32, of Southworth Road, Newton-le-Willows, St Helens
- Arthur Gaskin, 33, of no fixed abode
The charges relate to the incident in Moira, as well as a number of other burglary offences in the Cheshire area.
The investigation will be led by Cheshire Constabulary.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police said on Thursday: "Around 3.45am today (7 July) officers were called to Shortheath Road after it was reported the Co-op had been broken into and an attempt was made to steal the ATM inside of the shop.
"After the attempt was unsuccessful, the suspects are believed to have left the location in a Black BMW, which has since been recovered by police."

Leicestershire Police added: "Nothing was stolen from the premises.
"A white Ford tipper truck was also left at the scene.
"Three men, aged 27, 32 and 35 have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and are currently in police custody.
"Detectives are now carrying out enquires to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"Anyone with information who hasn't yet spoken to police is asked to call 101, quoting incident 22*389727."
