These Are The Roads That Will Be Closed In And Around Ashby Later This Month

There will be two temporary road closures in the Ashby area towards the end of May.

Ashby de la Zouch Town Council made them known on their Facebook page with Leicestershire County Council agreeing to the closures.

Leicester Road in Ashby will be closed between The Croft and Ruthyn Close on the May 27 from 08:00 to 17:00.

This will be for public safety so that Network Rail can carry out bridge repairs.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Upper Packington Road, From Lower Packington Road To Ashby Road, Ashby-De-LaZouch; Ashby Road, Normanton Road, Coleorton Lane, Packington.

  • Ashby Road in Donisthorpe will be closed on May 25 for three days.

This is for public safety so that Severn Trent Water can work on a new water connection.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Willesley Lane, Willesley Wood Side, Ashby de la Zouch; Willesley Wood Side, Ashby Road, Measham Road, Moira; Moira Road, Donisthorpe; and vice versa.
