Results from a recent survey of Ashby residents found that 89% said they were happy with Hood Park.

The survey, which was carried out by Ashby Town Council, was answered by 442, asking a series of questions about the experience of visiting Hood Park - not including the Leisure Centre and Lido.

Of those surveyed, 66% said they visit at least once a week, most commonly because they are passing through on the way to the leisure centre, for walking or exercise and to visit the children's play area.

They also found that 86% felt safe using Hood Park, with those who didn't citing gangs of youths and inadequate lighting as reasons they felt unsafe.

Overall, 89% of users feel either satisfied or very satisfied with Hood Park, with 22% saying they are dissatisfied and 5% saying very dissatisfied.
