Super Saturday brought a mixed reception from Ashby pub owners.
While there were no reports of any problems or trouble in the town centre, at least one venue did appear to have difficulties with customers sticking to social distancing rules.
The Lamb manager Alex Stanley threatened not to re-open the pub if there was a repeat of Saturday's behaviour when a series of social distancing guidelines appeared to have been ignored.
She said in a Facebook post: "If you want to go wild and have a sesh go to your friends' house ... otherwise I will not be re-opening and thats a fact."
Pubs on Market Street opened up for the first time since March - with Wetherspoons Shoulder of Mutton doing business at 8am.
Twelve hours later, the town was crowded and all venues had security on the door to control numbers.
Some pubs, including The Bull, had shut their doors by 10pm which, it is understood, was pre-planned rather than having anything to do with any problems with the public.
Alex at The Lamb, suggested there had been some problems during the evening - and set out a firm agenda for Sunday rather than a 'soft approach'.
Alex's message read: "Today's a new day and this is how it is.
"I open the lamb at 12 I have a door firm to work with me and we are not going to tolerate anything.
"I tried the soft approach and didn't want to demand but clearly it's needed so my house rules are as follows.
"FOOTBALL WILL BE TURNED OFF IMMEDIATELY IF I FEEL YOU"RE NOT FOLLOWING GUIDELINES (like yesterday) but this time I won't put it back on!
"DO NOT MOVE MY FURNITURE SIX to A TABLE, AND NO YOU CAN'T WALK AROUND TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND MINGLE OR STAND ROUND PEOPLE'S TABLES.
"We will be shutting straight after last foot ball match so say 6-7PM.
"If I feel like you've had to much you'll be asked to leave, it's really that simple!
"So basically sit down and relax, it's actually not that hard if you want to go wild and have a sesh go to your friends' house ... otherwise I will not be re-opening and thats a fact."
However, another Ashby landlord, who did not want to be named, said there had not been any problems during the day.
The pub owner said: "There were no problems, it was fine with no issues.
"The whole day went to plan, as it was supposed to."
