Comedy and Curry Night at The Lyric Rooms

On Thursday 15 January, Funhouse Comedy is back in Ashby for another one of their popular Comedy and Curry Nights.

Top of the bill is British Comedian of the Year Finalist Scott Bennett, who has appeared in The Royal Variety Performance and Live at the Apollo.

Opening the night will be French comedian Marcel Lucont, known for his deadpan delivery and surreal musings.

Also on the line up will be Karen Bayley, the first female winner of the Comedy Store King Gong award and the witty Jeremy Flynn.

Enjoy a brilliant live comedy show served up with delicious curry.

Winter Wedding Showcase

The Lyric Rooms also has their winter wedding showcase, demonstrating their beautiful wedding venue with an opportunity to meet their friendly team.

Ibstock Soul Club Northern Soul Night

On Friday 6 January from 7.30pm until midnight, Ibstock Soul Club will be holding another Northern Soul Night, featuring two resident DJs Richard Reed and Sean Taylor.

Alongside them will be special guest DJ Simon Hunt playing the best of Northern Soul and Tamla Motown on vinyl through the venues superb surround sound system.

Lunch time set menu at Twelve

This week, Ashby's Twelve popular lunch time is returning in the week, served Monday to Friday between 11am to 3.45pm.

The menu offers one course for £12, two courses for £16 and 3 courses for £20.

Some of the starters they have on offer include: beef and vintage cheddar croquette, white bean and garlic dip with caramelised onion, smoked paprika and grilled flatbread or garlic and parmesan chicken skewers.

Main menu options include sandwiches like an open peppercorn steak sandwich or fish goujon sandwich. They also offer steak frites, the XII cheese burger, pork belly and more, as well as flatbreads and wraps.

They also have their popular XII brownie, crumble pot and raspberry white chocolate trifle on offer for dessert.
