This weekend's Ashby events cover a wide range of entertainment and activities hopefully there is something for everyone.

Moira Furnace and Country Park is hosting the three-day Moira Folk Festival - starting on Friday.

This a small friendly festival featuring a mix of nationally known, local and upcoming artists who perform on two stages in seated marquees – so everyone is under cover for concerts. 

Concerts usually start at 12.00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

There is also a programme of free workshops on Saturday and Sunday mornings for weekend ticket-holders, which take place in various locations around the site, There is a Ceilidh on Saturday night in the nearby Miner's Welfare building.

Singarounds and sessions take place in the bar marquee, various other marquees on the main site and the campsite and at the two local pubs. Morris and Appalachian dance teams perform outside during the weekend.

Ashby Ivanhoe FC in Lower Packington Road is hosting the Dylan Lamb Memorial match on Sunday morning.

Ashby Boys take on Swad Boys in memory of Dylan who sadly passed away last year after battling leukaemia

All donations made from the day or prior to, will be made towards the Teenage Cancer Trust in memorial of Dylan.

Osgathorpe Hall is hosting an outdoor theatre event - Robin Hood, by The Pantaloons - on Sunday.
