Comedy and Curry Night at The Lyric Rooms

Funhouse Comedy is back at the Lyric Rooms, Ashby-de-la-Zouch on Thursday September 3rd for more fun and laughter.

This week's line-up includes:

• 'Connoisseur of the ridiculous' Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell, that you might recognise from Live at the Apollo and Mock the Week
• Award-winning Nathan Caton, who has appeared on Russel Howard's Good News, Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo and his own Radio 4 show 'Can't tell Nathan Caton Nothing'
• Energetically clever Steve Harris
• Thoughtful, punchy and engaging Malinda Makuma
• Spiky Mike will be compere for the evening

There is also the option to enjoy a delicious, authentic curry with fluffy rice, warm rice and a crispy onion bhaji.

Free Meditation for Stress Workshop

The Health Workshop in Ashby is holding a free session to help attendees learning how meditation can help with stress, as well as supporting emotional health and wellbeing.

The workshop will take place from 11.30am to 12.30pm on Friday 4 September at The Health Workshop at Rushtons Yard, Ashby.

Doggy Party on Ashby Bath Grounds

The third annual doggy party is taking place this Saturday on the Bath Grounds from 12pm, raising money for LOROS.

There is loads going on, include live music, dog treats, small business stalls, doggy tarot, raffle, tombola and a great chance to meet other local dog lovers.

The Glade Wedding Fayre

The Glade at Rosliston Forestry Centre is holding a wedding fayre on Sunday 6 September, helping couples to discover over 25+ local wedding suppliers.

This is free to attend with all visitors getting a free goodie bag and the opportunity for one couple to win £100 to spend with one of the exhibitors at the fair.
