Road closures in place for Ashby Pride and the artisan market
By Grace Kennington 3rd Aug 2026
Ashby Pride is back this weekend and there are road closures in place across the town during the weekend that will likely cause congestion and impact traffic in the centre of Ashby.
On Saturday 8 August, Market Street and Brook Street will be closed from the early hours of the morning to allow the festival, stage, rides and stalls to set up and for the event to run safely.
Additionally, a diversion route will be in place along the one-way system on South Street to the bottom of Market Street and then along Derby Road and up North Street, past the library and Ivanhoe School onto Wood Street.
There will also be no parking on Derby Road, Bath Street, Wilfred Place and Lower Church Street.
During the event, there will likely be congestion around the top and bottom of Market Street, as well as limited parking in town centre.
On Sunday 9 August, Brook Street will be once again closed, this time for the monthly Farmers and Artisan Market but Market Street will be reopened.
