Road closure set to come into place at busy Ashby junction next month

A road closure will be in place at the junction of Tamworth Road and Lower Packington Road in Ashby next month.

This will be for public safety with Leicestershire County Council carrying out carriageway patching work.

A road closure and prohibition of waiting and loading will be there on September 2 for one day between 9am-3pm. The areas affected are:

• Lower Packington Road - Closed between Tamworth Road and Spinney Close.

• Tamworth Road - Prohibition of waiting and loading from junction with Lower Packington Road for approximately 100m heading west.

These works also require temporary traffic signals.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Measham Road, Ashby de la Zouch; Measham Road, Bridge Street, Heather Lane, Normanton Road, Ashby Road, Packington; From Ashby Road to Lower Packington Road, Ashby de la Zouch and vice versa.
