Leicestershire Police say they are investigating an incident in which a man from Ashby was reportedly struck by a vehicle - leaving him badly injured.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon (August 2) in Moira Road, Ashby, at around 4.30pm.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Ashby Nub News: "We have received a report regarding this incident.

"The person has reported being stuck by a vehicle in Moira Road, Ashby at around 4.30pm on Tuesday (August 2) from which they have said they sustained bruising to their lower leg.

"The report will be looked in and enquiries will be carried out."

Leicestershire Police are investigating the incident

The victim of the incident is Ashby-based Max Hands who has since put out an appeal on Facebook to try and track down the driver.

Max, a student in Derby, says he was involved in a road-rage incident after the driver pulled out in front of him on Moira Road., near Shellbrook,

A social media post says he then pulled on to a car park to walk his dog and, as he got out of the car, he heard a car driving towards him and felt a pain in his left leg.

Max posted that the car driver - believed to be behind the wheel of a Jaguar - drove towards him 'at speed'.

Now he has launched an online search for the car and its driver, who he says was in his 50s or 60s.

Max told Ashby Nub News today (Thursday): "I'm recovering okay! The bruise is coming out now which is good.

"But it was very frightening., I was crying and shaken for an hour afterwards. It could've been so much worse."
