Police Enquiries Continuing After Ashby Bike Shop Was Broken Into At The Weekend

Leicestershire Police say their enquiries are ongoing after a break in at the Just Bikes cycle shop in Ashby in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Elford Street shop was burgled just before 1am on Sunday - with new bikes and those belonging to customers stolen.

Annie Jarvis of Just Bikes, posted about the theft on her Facebook page on Monday.

She said: "Just to make people aware that we were broken into on Saturday night.

"Unfortunately several customers' bikes were stolen along with new stock.

"The resulting damage to the property has resulted in limited opening times this week.

"We hope to be back to normal ASAP.

"Anyone with any information please contact the police or ourselves."

A spokeswoman for Leicestershire Police said: "Officers received a report at 12.53am yesterday (Sunday) of a burglary at a premises in Elford Street, Ashby.

"Entry had been gained to the premises through a rear door and a number of bicycles were stolen from the premises.

"Enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

"Anyone with any information should contact 101 quoting incident 20*287762."
