Ashby's Mayor, Cllr Rita Manning, presented the prize for Best Dressed Christmas Window to the owner of Indulgent Chocolates this week.

The Bath Street-based chocolate shop was voted as Ashby's best festive window design in a competition organised by North West Leicestershire District Council.

Cllr Manning presented shop owner Keith Tiplady with the award outside the store - which only opened in Ashby earlier this year.

Councillor John Coxon, Leader of Ashby de la Zouch Town Council, said: "It was great to see so many businesses participating in the competition.

"It is clear a lot of time, thought and work has gone in to creating the window displays. They have brightened up the town and brought joy to many people.

"Thank you everyone who took part and to all those who took the time to vote."
