Outgoing Mayor of Ashby de la Zouch presents cheques to her two chosen charities at Legion House

Last year's Ashby de la Zouch Mayor presented cheques to her two chosen charities this week.
Councillor Rita Manning was Mayor for 2021/22 and chose the Royal National Institute of Blind People and Guide Dogs for the Blind Association as her charities during her Mayoral year.
Throughout her year as Mayor, Cllr Manning raised a total of £1525.12.
The cheques were presented to representatives from both RNIB and Guide Dogs at the Ashby de la Zouch Town Council offices on Tuesday.
Cllr Manning thanked all of the local businesses and residents, who had enabled her to raise the four figure sum during her year as Mayor.
