A company which organises comedy nights in Ashby is looking to raise a laugh online during lockdown.

Funhouse Comedy - which stages shows at the Lyric Rooms when Covid restrictions allow - is offering a personal comedian for your birthday or anniversary.

And now they want to being the comics into your home via a Zoom link.

Organiser Spiky Mike explained: "Many of us are a bit bored and frustrated at the moment and need some fun and cheering up, so why not host your own dedicated night of laughter for just you and your friends, to celebrate a birthday or anniversary?

"We can also arrange events for companies.

"We can either offer shows on Zoom of one comedian to do a 30 minute set, to include some audience banter for those that want it or we can do an hour show with a compere doing audience banter and 3 comedians doing 15 minute sets.

"We will include a professional tech person, who can feature people on the screen that are being spoken to and smoothly switch between the comedians. He will also set the event to start 30 miniutes before and end 30 minutes after the comedy, so your guests can chat to each other if they wish.

"The show is much better if some of the guests have mics turned on, so there is live laughter, but those that wish not to be spoken to can mute their mics.

"The cost for one pro comedian, including the tech person is £175 plus VAT, or for the hour show with three comedians and a compere it is £350 plus VAT.

"If you would like further information, please reply to this email or call Spiky Mike on 07968 871568.

"We look forward to hearing from you and hope to see you in a club in the not too distant future!"
