New sign for Ashby footpath points in wrong direction

A new sign has appeared near Ashby Bath Grounds giving directions for the footpath through the Bath Grounds to South Street. 

However, the new sign, which was put up recently by Leicestershire County Council, is a little misleading. 

The sign is pointing away from both paths into the Bath Grounds, instead pointing across Station Road (Photo: Grace Kennington)

The sign reads Public Footpath to South Street, with an arrow pointing away from the Bath Grounds across the main road. 

Ashby Civic Society have been pushing the County Council for better signage in the town centre to key attractions, such as the castle, museum and swimming pool, as well as better sign posting for pedestrian routes.
