New owners "set to take over" at historic pub and hotel in Ashby

New owners have been lined up to take over at the Queen's Head Bar and Hotel in Ashby.

The Market Street pub is set in a 18th-century former coaching inn, and is described as a traditional pub with budget rooms.

The as yet un-named new owners are said to be experienced operators and have exciting plans to take the venue to new heights - catering for the high demands and expectations of the modern customer.

A sale was completed late last week says Cllr Graham Allman who represents Ashby de la Zouch Town Council on Ashby Pub watch.

He says that the new owners are locally-based, successful businessman with varied commercial interests through out the UK.

Cllr Allman is highly experienced licensed business owner himself owning both private premises within the area but and operation directorships with Bass and Whitbread.

He said: "This is very good news in regards to Ashby's night time economy following the Purple Flag announcement last week.

"New owners are now in position at the famous Ashby inn, The Queen's Head."

More information is expected soon on the deal.
