A new housing development in Ashby is fast becoming a hotspot for first-time buyers looking for an affordable place to find their first home.

Bellway West Midlands' Ashtree Gardens, which is being built off Burton Road, comprises 114 two, three, four and five-bedroom properties for private sale.

New homeowners from Ashby as well as Shepshed, Measham and Coalville, have been drawn to Ashtree Gardens, with 41 homes being purchased already by first time buyers.

There is now just a final selection of homes remaining for sale at the development, with construction on site due to end in August this year. Two ponds, an on-site play area and green open space are also being provided.

Marie Richards, Sales Director of Bellway West Midlands, said: "Since launching Ashtree Gardens, we have found that the three-bedroom properties here have been very popular with first-time buyers.

"One of the house types that is particularly suitable is the Cherry. Not only is this house affordable, but the three bedrooms offer flexible options for buyers. The third room can be used as a child's room for a young family or as a study for those working from home.

"There are only 11 homes left to sell at Ashtree Gardens, and just six Cherry house types on the market priced from £255,524, so I would urge anyone who is interested to act fast while they are still available."

There are also two, three-bedroom Larch house types available, which are also priced under the first-time buyer stamp duty threshold, from £264,614.
