Residents of the Money Hill Estate are invited to join a meeting with North West Leicestershire Police to discuss on-going issues with anti-social behaviour.

Police are inviting residents to a meeting at Legion House on Monday 24 August from 5.30pm to give residents formal updates about the on-going work North West Leicestershire Police and other partner agencies are doing to tackle car cruising, off-road motorbiking and other anti-social behaviour.

In March, signage was put up by North West Leicestershire District Council with Ashby Town Council in an attempt to tackle anti-social behaviour in the area.

The signs warn that anyone participating in anti-social behaviour, including anti-social driving, could be prosecuted.

At the time, Clllr Murrae Blair-Park, now Mayor of Ashby, said: 'In the evenings, especially later at night, groups of drivers are repeatedly using this stretch of road to speed, rev engines and carry out dangerous manoeuvres.

'Local residents are experiencing persistent noise, disturbance and antisocial behaviour as a result.'
