This August, Guide Dogs for the Blind will be visiting Ashby, giving residents the opportunity to meet the dogs and learn about their important job.

Guide Dogs for the Blind will be at Ashby Tourist Information Centre on North Street for a meet and greet with their dogs and puppies on Saturday 8 August.

The team will be at the Tourist Information Centre form 11am to 1pm, giving local people a chance to meet the team, learn about the journey a guide dog goes through, speak to volunteers about puppy raising or fundraising.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to pat and interact with the dogs and puppies on the day.

The event is sponsored by the Ashby Tourist Information Centre and Ashby BID and coincides with Ashby Pride in Ashby Town Centre on the same day.
