Measham Car Boot rerturns tomorrow (Sunday) - with full Covid safety regulations in place.

The car boot website says that Booters can arrive from 6am, bringing their own tables.

But the public can only be admitted from 7am and people must wear masks before 7.15am.

If exempt organisers ask if you can please wait in your car until 7.15.

The site is at Bosworth Road, Measham, DE12 7HA.

Public Admission is £1; Cars £7; Vans £10; Car & Trailer £10.

Safety precautions. including a one way system and hand sanitiser stations, will be in place to protect visitors and staff.

The Measham Car Boot website also explains how the safety measures will work.

It says: "New Measures… Although not compulsory, customers are now advised to wear a face covering and to carry hand sanitizer with them at all times.

"You will also be provided with our leaflet showing them where our hand sanitiser stations are located.

"In addition to this buyers will be discouraged from handling goods unless they are intending to purchase them and adhere to the Government's social distancing guidelines.

"All communal public seating areas, both around catering units and around family leisure areas have been removed so as to remove any gathering of crowds for sustained periods of time at pinch points around the site.

"Staff… In line with Government guidance, staff with underlying health conditions or those that are deemed to be high risk/vulnerable have been asked to notify us and where this has been the case they will not be allowed to return to work.

"All staff have been trained on our New safety and operating procedures and what are the hazards? Who might be harmed and how? What are you already doing to control the risks? What further action do you need to take to control the risks?

"On event days, as previously stated, each will have their temperature checked upon arrival to confirm they are fit to work, they will each be assigned specific duties for the duration of the event, thus resulting in no need to share any equipment at all, ie each will be given their own 2 way radio for communication, their own High Visibility waste coat and for each person taking temperature checks on customer arrival, their own contactless thermometer. All staff will be wearing PPE and will be guided to clean their equipment regularly."

Moira Car Boot returns on May 2/3.
