Line dancing against breast cancer: Ashby instructor to hold special charity class
By Grace Kennington 7th Sep 2026
A local line-dancing instructor has organised an afternoon in Whitwick and Coalville to raise money for a good cause.
Jilly Hayward, sometimes known as Dance with Jilly, runs Move it or Lose it at Ashby Leisure Centre.
She is holding a fundraiser for Breast Cancer Now by inviting people to join her for an hour of fun and fitness in a line-dancing class.
On 20 September, Jilly will be at Whitwick Leisure Centre from 1pm to 2pm and Ashby Leisure Centre from 3.15pm to 4.15pm, with all funds raised by the class being donated to Breast Cancer Now.
Jilly also runs regular line dancing classes, offering the first one free to new members until 30 September.
On Mondays, she has a class at Ashby Leisure Centre at 10.30am and Newton Regis Village Hall at 6pm. This is followed by classes at The Dordon Club every Tuesday and 6pm and Thursdays at Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre from 10.30am.
