Indulgent Chocolates celebrates two years in Ashby on Monday - and is planning something special for visitors to its shop in Bath Street.

As well as that, Ashby Nub News is also marking the occasion with a prize competition.

We want you to try and guess the weight of Indulgent Chocolates' birthday cake - the one as shown by owner Keith Tiplady in the above photo, cake only, not the slate pictured.

You can use imperial or metric weights - either is okay.

What you need to do is go to the Ashby Nub News Facebook page, like the post, like Indulgent Chocolates' Facebook page, like our Facebook page (if you don't already) and then write your guess in the comments section.

Entries close next Friday morning at 9am.

You could win an Indulgent Chocolates hamper similar to this

The reader whose guess is closest to the weight of the cake will win an Indulgent Chocolates hamper - similar to the one pictured with Prosecco and chocolatesI - worth £35.

Keith says that he will be opening the shop on Bank Holiday Monday - and as a birthday treat - there will be FREE samples on offer to visitors.

He said: "Although it's a Bank Holiday, we're open from 10am-4pm and we'll be welcoming visitors as usual.

"It seemed fitting to open as it's May 1, which is when we opened in Ashby two years ago.

"We'll be giving out free samples, you can try anything we've got in the shop to see if you like it.

"All next week, we'll be doing two for one offers on things such as Prosecco, hot chocolates and ice cream milk shakes."

The Bath Street shop already has the birthday balloons in the window

Keith says he has had to adapt the business amid some testing times on for high street shops.

He said: "We've altered the interior since we first came here, we're not a cafe, but you can sit down and relax in the shop and have a drink at one of our tables.

"Over the last two years, we've built up a great customer base. One of our regulars came in this week and brought us a lovely bunch of flowers for our birthday."
