Have your say: Ashby BID asks for feedback on Regeneration Masterplan
By Grace Kennington 6th Jul 2026
Ashby BID (Business Improvement District) is inviting residents to view the Town Centre Regeneration Masterplan, giving local people the opportunity to give feedback.
Ashby BID is a 'community-driven, not-for-profit initiative' working to improve Ashby's economic and social vitality.
A fee for local businesses is pooled together and managed by a volunteer board to 'enhance the town through dedicated projects.'
Ashby BID and Ashby Town Council appointed Gillespies in January 2026 to prepare a review of the Town Centre and have put together some concept designs for key projects to improve the town centre.
The plans include proposals for changes to Market Street, entrance to the bath grounds and Brook Street, as well as plans for an 'Eastern Gateway'.

There is also a proposal to upgrade alleyways in the town centre, with plans for bronze, silver and gold alleyways with varying degrees of lighting, public art and seating.
Residents are invited to visit the Town Council Offices at Legion House on South Street in Ashby between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesday 7 July to view to regeneration plans in person.
During this time, there will be an opportunity for residents to ask questions and discuss new plans with Stuart Benson, Town Centre Manager and Ashby Town Councillor.
The regeneration plans are also available to view and give feedback on on the Ashby BID website.
To view all the plans, visit the town council offices between 2pm and 4pm on Tuesday 7 July or on the Ashby BID website.
