On Sunday 7 June, hundreds of scooters, their riders and local people flocked to Market Street for the return of the Great Ashby Gathering Scooter Rally.

Showcasing a variety of scooters old and new, the event was attended by numerous scooter group with hundreds of scooters on display, along with live music, street food and funfair rides.

One visitor said on social media: 'I was a scooter rider and thought it was a fabulous day, safe and well organised, well done Ashby you did a great job.'

Another person commented: ' I was a scooter rider and I can firmly say it was well organised and a fantastically attended event - bring on next year,' and someone else pointed out that the closure of Market Street made a huge difference to the event.
