The award-winning school uniform Swap Shops are returning to various locations in North West Leicestershire, improving access for families to affordable school uniform. 

The scheme, which has previously won awards, will run at seven different locations in North West Leicestershire from Monday 28th July to Sunday 31st August.

Speaking about the return of this popular scheme, North West Leicestershire District Council said it gives families the opportunity to 'pass on and pick-up preloved school uniform for free – hoping to reduce waste and ease the financial pressures of back-to-school shopping." 

The scheme gives parents, especially those with multiple children at different schools, the chance to save money on expensive uniforms.

A number of local schools are involved, including Ashby School Sixth Form, Castle Donington College, Ivanhoe School, King Edward VII Science and Sport College, local primary schools and more.   

This year's Swap Shops are located:  

• Ashby - Co-op, Derby Road,  
• Castle Donington - The Hub, Bondgate,  
• Coalville - Co-op, Cropstone Drive,  
• Hugglescote - Co-op, Oak Corner,  
• Ibstock - Co-op, Ashby Road,  
• Measham -Co-op, High Street,  
• Whitwick - Co-op, Market Place
