Fiver Fest is returning to Ashby this summer - with a continuing message to support the town's businesses

Fiver Fest is returning to Ashby this June.

How it works is that independent businesses provide special offers for £5 to encourage people to use their high street and to say thank you to the public for their support.

The event last went ahead in October when it was more low key due to the pandemic Fiver Fest October 2020.

But, if all goes to plan, June should seen the country reach the end the Government's roadmap out of lockdown.

If that happens, then Fiver Fest will coincide with that although some social distancing measures are likely to be in place.

However, one effect of lockdown seems to be that more people have turned to their home town businesses.

Fiver Fest will aim to build on that, especially as new businesses will be starting in Ashby this year.

Dates have still to be finalised, but organisers have said June is scheduled.
