Expected date for Ashby's new Banking Hub to open and services it will offer

A new banking hub is expected to open in Ashby-de-la-Zouch following the closures of several major banks in recent years.
Although the location of the banking hub has not yet been confirmed, CashAccess estimates that the new Banking Hub will open in June 2026.
The new banking hub will be open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and have a counter operated by the Post Officer where local people will be able to access cash services, including:
- Paying in cash and cheques,
- Withdrawing cash,
- Checking balance,
- Paying utilities,
- Topping up gas and electricity,
- Access to change-giving services for registered businesses.
There will also be the opportunity for local people to talk to a community banker on the day that each bank is at the hub.
There will be a private space where people will be able to talk face-to-face about more complicated banking enquiries like payments, transfers and using online banking.
Community bankers will be provided by banks with the most customer in their areas and will be at the hub on set days.
To find out more about the Banking Hub coming to Ashby, there will be an information drop-in on Tuesday 14 October at Legion House, South Street, Ashby between 10am and 1pm. There will be people on hand to answer any questions or concerns.
