Everything you need to know for Ashby Pride this weekend

The third annual Ashby Pride is almost upon us, taking place from 12 noon to 7pm on Ashby Market Street.
There is a huge variety of performers on the new-for-2025 community stage, featuring performers such as Kylie UK and Madonna Tribute Shows, Kyle Finn, Miss Tutu, Dancer Z, Firewater and Joanne Shallow.
There will also be a brand new parade this year, starting from outside The Bowling Green, heading up Brook Street onto Market Street, where it will go up one side and down the other.
Market Street will be lined with stalls, food and drink stands, and a fun fair and lots of local businesses are getting involved.
The Inspire Youth Collective (IYC) are open from 10am to 6pm on the day with the opportunity to decorate a pride-inspired biscuit and meet their friendly team, with other activities including crafts, face painting and a tombola alongside their usual community café, community fridge and clothing bank.

Sponsor of Ashby Pride, The Bulls Head are hosting a pride event throughout the day. Between 10am to 7pm, they are welcoming pride-goers to continue celebrating love, colour and community with delicious drinks and food. There will be a jacket potato van and outside bar open.
From 7pm, The Bulls Head will keep the party going with a stage in their back garden. A DJ will be live spinning until 9pm and the DJ Ben Lee and Joanna Shallow will be performing from 9pm to 3am, keeping the party going.
Twelve in Ashby is joining the celebration by mixing up some colourful drinks especially for pride, with £1 from each cocktail being donated to Ashby Pride.
Brew on Market Street hold a street-food pop-up every weekend and this weekend is no exception. This Saturday will see the return of the popular Burgerologist, this time with a special Pride Burger to mark the occasion.

Natural Hounds on Rushton Yard will be hosting a Doggy Catwalk Competition. Get your four-legged friends dressed up in a pride themed outfit and show off their style on the catwalk (or should we say dog-walk?). The winner will receive a first-place trophy and gift hamper. This will be taking place outside Natural Hounds from 12.30pm.
Lots of other businesses in Market Street will also be getting involved with the Window Competition.
