Duo Arrested On Suspicion Of Drugs Offences After Police Raid In Oakthorpe - Weapons Also Found


Police arrested a man and a woman at an address in Oakthorpe this morning (Thursday) on suspicion of intending to supply Class A and B drugs.
Prohibited weapons were also recovered from the property in Measham Road.
Police raided the house under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
The pair - both in their early 20s - have both been released under investigation and enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "Officers executed a warrant at an address in Measham Road, Oakthorpe this morning (Thursday 6 August) under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
"A 23-year-old man at the address was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class B drug with intent to supply.
"A 21-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A and class B drug with intent to supply."
