A total of 31 people have died from Covid-19 across the Ashby area during March and June, according to the latest figures.

But figures show there were only two deaths in this area during June as the toll of people losing their lives becomes lower.

In line with the national figure, April was the worst month – with 13 deaths across the area as the pandemic reached a peak.

The figures divide Ashby into north and south - and the total for both is 15 people passing away in the town.

Data shows that six people died in the north of the town - with one person losing their life last month - and nine in the south, but with no deaths recorded in June.
