Coronavirus: Figures For North West Leicestershire Compared To Rest Of The County

North West Leicestershire's coronavirus cases have increased by 14 over the past 24 hours (Wednesday).

The current rate in the district is 492 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 474

Another 130 cases have been added to local coronavirus tolls across Leicestershire after the latest data update.

Some 51 cases were added to Leicester's totals with the remaining 79 spread across the county.

Charnwood had 23 cases added to its running total with both Harborough and North West Leicestershire's tolls going up by 14 cases.

Hinckley and Bosworth's overall caseload is up by 11 and Oadby and Wigston added seven new cases.

Five cases were confirmed in both Blaby and Melton.

The local figures updated at 4pm on Wednesday October 7 are:

  • Leicester – 7,557 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 2,133
  • Blaby – 913 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 899
  • Charnwood – 1,411 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 759
  • Harborough – 630 total cases -. Rate per 100,000 population: 671
  • Hinckley and Bosworth – 805 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 711
  • Melton – 304 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 593
  • Oadby and Wigston – 836 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 1,466

Today marks 100 days of local lockdown in Leicester.

Meanwhile, infection rates across the country continue to rise, with Leicester's nearing the level it was when the city was made subject to extra restrictions back in July.

The local figures updated at 4pm on Tuesday October 6 were:

Leicester – 7,506 total cases. Rate per 100,000 population: 2,119

Blaby – 908 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 894

Charnwood – 1,388 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 746

Harborough – 616 total cases -. Rate per 100,000 population: 656

Hinckley and Bosworth – 794 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 701

Melton – 299 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 583

North West Leicestershire – 478 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 461

Oadby and Wigston – 829 total cases – Rate per 100,000 population: 1,454
