Castle Medical Group in Ashby has reported an increase in abusive incidents towards members of staff.

The Burton Road health centre has reposted a social media message from 2019 to remind patients it will not stand for 'unacceptable' behaviour.

In the post, Castle Medical says its staff should not expect to have to put up with abuse.

The health centre has not gone into detail, but the message is clear.

Castle Medical stated: "We would like to remind patients about our zero tolerance policy as we have noticed an increase in incidents recently."

The centre then posted a message from October, 2019, which reads: "As you know our staff come to work to help and provide care to you and others.

"Recently the number of abusive incidents towards staff has increased and we would like to remind patients that we have a zero tolerance policy in place.

"This type of behaviour is not acceptable and we would not expect staff to have to be subjected to this.

"We all have a responsibility to treat each other respectfully."
