Bright Hope in North West Leicestershire is holding a fun quiz night to raise funds for the Bright Hope House charity.

Based in the countryside around Coalville, Bright Hope provide a variety of support for individuals with long-term or life limiting physical or mental health conditions, helping them to live a more fulfilled life.

They are committed to ensuring these services continue to support those who need them in the area, offering day care services, counselling, support cafes in Ashby, Ibstock and Coalville, befriending services, complementary therapy, bereavement support and a flexible one-to-one holistic support service called Way Back to Wellness.

In November, Bright Hope was awarded The King's Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a local voluntary group can receive in the UK and the equivalent of a MBE.

Upon receiving the award, Chief Executive of Bright Hope Laura Mackie said: 'Whether someone comes to us for wellness service, complementary therapy, or attends one of our Support Cafes, they're part of something bigger.

'Bright Hope is more than a charity: it's a social movement – a network of care, connection and hope across North West Leicestershire.

'As we receive no statutory funding, everything we do is made possible through the generosity of our supporters. However, to continue meeting the growing needs of our community, we urgently need more assistance to sustain and expand our vital work.'

On 29 January, Bright Hope will be holding a Quiz Night to raise funds.

The quiz will feature 15 teams of four people, led by an experienced quiz master Brian Beggan, known locally for his fabulous discos and quiz nights. There will be questions covering all aspects of general knowledge as well as stand-up bingo.

Entry to the quiz is £10 per person and all funds will go to Bright Hope.
