Mountain bikes worth around £3,000 have been stolen from a property in Ashby belonging to Leicestershire Scouts Activity Team.
Police say entry had been gained to a container and 11 bikes were stolen.
The incident is thought to have taken place between 7pm on Wednesday and 1pm Thursday on the outskirts of Ashby.
Team manager Andy Coker says the theft is a huge blow to a charitable organisation who rely on fundraising activity.
"We are self-finding, we don't get any support and we haven't done any rides this year due to Covid-19, which means we haven't made any money," he explained.
"The values of the bikes stolen is in the region of £3,000.
"I'm team leader and it's the first time I've had to deal with something like this.
"I've phone around the local bike shops to keep an eye out for the stolen cycles.
"They were being stored at a site in Ashby which has already been broken into this year. Padlocks were cut and windows were smashed back then.
"This time the prised the door open and snapped the lock."
It is thought the thieves would have needed to have transported the stolen bikes in a Transit van style vehicle.
Andy added: "The bikes were bought last year for the Charnwood international scout camp at Cattows Farm.
"We want the mountain bike team to be youth led, they will lead the activities."
Police say anyone with information can call 101 quoting crime reference 20*350749.
