Across Leicestershire, pupils and teachers are returning to school after the summer holidays and parents are trying to scrabble together PE Kits and pencil cases.

This summer at seven locations across North West Leicestershire, free school uniform swap shops have been full of blazers, polo shirts and PE shorts for local schools, allowing parents to donate the uniforms that their children no longer need and those that can't afford to buy it can pick up uniform without the hefty price tag.

Although some schools have already gone back, the swap shops are remaining until Sunday 31st August for any forgotten or missed bits of uniform or children who have had a growth spurt over the summer.

This year's Swap Shops are located: 

• Ashby - Co-op, Derby Road, 
• Castle Donington - The Hub, Bondgate, 
• Coalville - Co-op, Cropstone Drive, 
• Hugglescote - Co-op, Oak Corner, 
• Ibstock - Co-op, Ashby Road, 
• Measham -Co-op, High Street, 
• Whitwick - Co-op, Market Place 

The Swap Shops include uniform from Ashby School, Ivanhoe School, Castle Donnington College, King Edward VII and local primary schools.
