Ashby's Street Eats and Beats events this summer will get 'wave of positive changes' from new owner
The Street Eats and Beats Festival - which will be returning to Ashby this summer - has a new owner.
Mitchell Horler says he is eager to bring 'a wave of positive changes to this beloved community event'.
Street Eats and Beats has been held in the North Street car park in Ashby - and is a mix of food and music aimed at families.
The events normally start early in the evening and last until around 9pm.
But Mitchell says he wants to add something different to the event.
He told Ashby Nub News: "Our vision for the Street Eats and Beats Festival is to transform it into a vibrant and family-friendly experience, combining delicious food, fantastic music, and a welcoming atmosphere for all, all while supporting local business and musicians.
"Our commitment to excellence extends to curating a diverse selection of unique food vendors, ensuring a culinary journey that caters to every taste and preference.
"From local favourites to international flavours, our festival will be a celebration of culinary diversity."
But Mitchell says he also wants to connect with businesses in Ashby as part of the event.
He added: "In addition to offering a delightful experience for attendees, we are also dedicated to supporting local businesses.
"Our plan is to collaborate with and promote local establishments, fostering community growth and bringing new opportunities to the area.
"We believe that the Street Eats and Beats Festival has the potential to become an even more significant and enriching event for our community.
"If you are interested in covering this exciting development or would like additional information, please feel free to reach out."
The Street Eats and Beats dates for this year's events in Ashby have still to be confirmed.
