Ashby's Proms in the Park event is taking shape - with a line-up and ticket details announced for the Bath Grounds event to be held in August.

Headlining will be the Ashby Big Band, for the show which is scheduled for August 28, 5-10pm.

The Proms in the Park website says The Big Band was the idea of Ashby David Bradford who not only wanted to offer local musicians the chance to play, but to also give the local community a band they could be proud of.

The band is now one of the best Glenn Miller/1940s tribute bands in the country, with many players living in the Ashby area and some also coming from as far afield as Birmingham, London and Sheffield.

Also on the bill is Big Men in Town, who the organisers describe as young, dynamic and talented, the cast are a hit with audiences of all ages.

Immaculately costumed the boys offer a show that faithfully recreates the sound that has been the soundtrack to our lives for over half a century.

Big Men In Town is revue of the best of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, presented as a live all-singing, all-dancing fully-staged show that has impressed audiences throughout the UK.

Other acts are expected to be added.

The organisers will still need to adhere to social distancing rules for the event.

The website says: "Social distancing gives us limitations on the number of tickets we can sell, therefore we only have room for 180 standard and 94 VIP spaces with six people allocated in each space. Get yours now before they sell out!"

Tickets are available HERE.
