A group of Ashby-based tree surgeons are planning to climb the equivalent of Mount Everest on Bank Holiday Monday in aid of the Young Minds Charity.
The climbers are all from the Eden Tree Care and Fencing in Newbold and they will be scaling a tree at the Bath Grounds.
But they will not stop going up and down until the team of 10 has covered the equivalent height of the world's highest mountain.
It is a challenge that has not been attempted before.
And Chris Cunliffe, of Eden Tree Care, told Ashby Nub News about the challenge and the reasons behind it.
He said: "This year has been rubbish for everyone and we wanted to do some kind of charity event.
"We did some brainstorming and there are a lot of virtual Everest events, we decided to raise money for the Young Minds charity.
"We had a chat with them and with us being associated with trees everyone was straight in with it.
"The concept is that we're going to climb, and only counting the 'ups', it's going to be like a relay and we won't stop until we get to the 29,000 mark.
"We reckon it'll take about six hours. We're starting at 7.30 so we've got a fair idea of what we're aiming for.
"It's a mega-challenge and we wanted to do something where we had a chance of raising some decent money for a really good charity.
"So we just thought 'go big with it'."
Chris says he wanted to raise money for Young Minds but also give tree work some exposure as well.
He added: "With us doing it in the Bath Grounds, people have the chance to come and see us at work and look at how we do it.
"We've picked a mature chestnut tree which is about 80 feet high, that's what we've clocked it at.
"But people will be able to find us, there'll be a few milling around. It's probably one of the biggest trees at the Bath Grounds and it'll be all local lads doing it.
Chris said that the group have a particular reason for choosing the Young Minds charity and you can donate HERE.
He added: "So far we've raised around £3,300 after setting ourselves a target of £2,000, now we're just keeping going.
"The more we started looking into the Young Minds charity, we found that 50 per cent of long lasting mental ill health issues starts before the age of 14.
"And three quarters before 18. One of the lads at work did have mental health problems so that's why we went down this route. But when you look at the statistics, it's quite scary."
