Ashby Street Treats and Beats will return twice more this summer after a successful opening event last week.

Organisers have thanked everybody who came along to the Bath Grounds for the food-based opening night.

It was an event which was effectively a trial, as Ashby de la Zouch Town Council had said they wanted to see how popular it was before agreeing to more.

But now, another Street Treats and Beats has been arranged for June 29.

Mitchell Horler, the man behind the event, said: "We have an exciting line-up later this month that promises to be even better than our last event.

"New vendors will be showcasing their unique treats and crafts, while live singers and bands set the perfect summer vibe.

"Sip on expertly crafted cocktails from our bars, and be mesmerised by the talents of jugglers and stilt walkers.

"Tickets for June 29 are now available, and we're offering early bird tickets online at a reduced fee of just £1.50."

But Mitchell says that will be followed by a two-day Festival over the weekend of August 31-September 1.

He added: "In even bigger news, we've been granted the opportunity to host a two-day festival.

"This event promises to be our biggest yet, with more entertainment, more food, and more fun.

"Stay tuned for further details as we prepare for an unforgettable festival experience."

The June event will again be at The Bath Grounds, from 1-8pm; All ages welcome as well as dogs; the cost is £2.50 per entry and there are early bird tickets online for £1.50; under-fives go free.
