Part of Ashby town centre will be closed to traffic for five days later this month.

Work on the relocation of an electricity junction box is to start in Elford Street, on Monday, February 20.

Leicestershire County Council Highways says that the Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be put in place for public safety so that National Grid Electricity Distribution can carry out the work.

The road is expected to be closed for five days from the Monday onwards.

A proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Derby Road, Market Street, Brook Street and vice versa.

During the closure, alternative routes can be viewed HERE.
