A burglary and crime prevention event is being held at the Tesco Superstore in Ashby on December 14.

North West Leicestershire Police and Safer North West Leicestershire Partnership will be delivering a morning of crime prevention advice between 10-12noon.

The organisers say it is in response to burglary and vehicle crime in the region.

Among the topics being discussed are, locksmith demonstrations on how to prevent snap lock burglary; advice for van owners on how to protect their property; advice on how to prevent keyless vehicle theft including free signal blockers; Rural vehicle crime prevention advice; a discount code for ring security products and Disklok steering wheel locks.

There will also be the chance to win prizes while local security businesses will offer advice on anti-snap locks, CCTV and alarm systems. And there will also be free crime prevention products.
